Sam Brewster is an Adelaide-based musician who regularly performs as a guitarist, bass player, and vocalist, in a multitude of formats.
Since 2012, Sam has been the bass player for the iconic Australian rock band, The Angels. This has involved extensive national touring, with the inclusion of festival shows such as A Day On The Green, Adelaide Clipsal 500, Red Hot Summer Tour, and most recently Sweden Rock Festival. Sam’s bass playing and guitar playing is featured on the latest album ‘Talk The Talk’. Included on the album is the track ‘Book of Law’, which features music written by Sam and lyrics written by Angels drummer Nick Norton.
Sam also performs regularly with The Brewster Brothers.
Alongside these two main musical ventures, Sam plays solo acoustic shows which feature a repetoire of crowd favourites as well as some more modern songs that lend themselves to an interesting solo interpretation. Check the gig page for all upcoming shows.
In conjunction with this practical application, Sam attained a Bachelor of Music, which he completed in 2009. He has also completed an Advanced Diploma of Music in 2006. Most recently, in 2015, he completed a Graduate Diploma of Education.
Pursuing formal education has led to career opportunities in school music education. Sam has worked as an instrumental teacher, an HSC accompanist, and a guitarist for school musicals and showcases. He also works as a relief teacher in a classroom environment.
